What a hostess does

Important: PHE recruits hostesses for events and reception — protocol, polished presentation, professional communication. We do NOT recruit promoters for sampling, product demos or BTL campaigns — there are dedicated agencies for that (Fly Events, OneHostess, Tonic Events). The two profiles overlap only partially.

Event reception hostess
Guest welcome at entry, list check-in, distributing programs / favors / gifts, directing to room, coat check, welcome cocktail.
Usher
For formal events with reserved seating: finding the guest's seat from the list, ushering with protocol. Essential for galas, ceremonies and numbered-plenary conferences.
In-event assistance
Through the event: answering guest questions, coordinating with the photo / video team, syncing with the organizer, handling minor issues (extra tables, guests feeling unwell).
VIP / corporate hostess
For events with CEOs, boards, dignitaries: protocol compliance, distributing materials, coordinating with security, ad-hoc translation if needed.
Bilingual / multilingual hostess
For international guest events — fluent English required. On request: French, Italian, German, Spanish.
Dress code & appearance
Business standard wardrobe (black dress, blazer, closed shoes), average height above 1.65m, posture and communication assessed at interview. For specific dress codes (red dress, all-white, themed), we flag at confirmation.

FAQ — hostesses

Difference between a PHE hostess and a promoter agency?+

Promoter (BTL) agencies recruit for sampling campaigns, product demos, flyer distribution — marketing focus. PHE recruits hostesses for events / reception / protocol — operations focus, business attire, professional communication. Two distinct profiles with partial overlap.

How many hostesses for a 200-guest wedding?+

2 hostesses: one at guest reception (with check-in list), one for in-event assistance. For 400+ weddings: 3 hostesses. For weddings with international guests: +1 bilingual hostess.

Do hostesses speak English?+

All 28 active hostesses have at least conversational English. For events that require fluency (international conferences, diplomatic events) we filter on request and can attach a short English test before confirmation.

Can we pick hostesses based on photos?+

Yes, for image-sensitive events (photo campaigns, premium brand events). We send 4–6 profiles with photo and traits; you pick from criteria agreed at brief.

Do you supply hostesses for kids' events?+

No — for children's entertainment at weddings / birthdays, we recommend specialized agencies. PHE recruits HoReCa staff and adult hostesses only.

Do hostesses arrive on their own or do we send a car?+

In Bucharest: hostesses come on their own (taxi, ride-sharing, public transport). For events after 22:00 or in Ilfov, PHE covers return transport (reimbursed taxi or ride-share). For events in other cities: public transport or private transport agreed at quoting.

I'm a hostess — how do I join?+

Sign up from the „I'm a candidate” page. Process: online registration (CV + 3–5 business non-glamour photos), short video interview (10 min), English check. Once accepted, you receive jobs by email / WhatsApp.
