For flair show bar service, we shortlist from our senior pool. For permanent roles, we connect employers with candidates directly through the PHE platform.

Bartender types

Not every bartender fits every event. For a wedding open bar, a classic bartender. For a corporate launch with signature drinks, a cocktail bartender. For show — a flair bartender. We filter candidates by specialty:

Barback (junior)
Bartender support: ice stocking, fruit and glassware prep, bar mise en place. Required for high-volume bars (>200 guests).
Classic bartender
Standard drinks: beer, wine, champagne, gin-tonic, whisky, classic cocktails (Mojito, Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Old Fashioned). For weddings and standard events.
Cocktail bartender / mixologist
Modern mixology, signature drinks, elaborate presentation. For premium corporate events, branding events, product launches.
Flair bartender (show bar)
Bottle juggling, controlled fire, shaker acrobatics. Show element for premium events — separate package (30–45 min show + bar service).
Head bartender
Bar team lead (>2 bartenders), cocktail menu planning, team training, stock management. For large events and restaurants.
Barista (coffee specialist)
For premium coffee bar events (corporate, conferences, openings). Latte art, espresso-based drinks, V60 / Chemex / cold brew.

How it works for bartenders

  1. 01Request a quote

Send the event details: bar type, guest count, drinks list, duration, location. If you want a flair show, flag it separately.

  2. 02Receive proposals

Within 48h we propose 2–3 bartenders matched to the bar type (classic, cocktail, flair). For complex bars (>3 bartenders) we also propose a recommended head bartender.

  3. 03Pick the team

Pick the bartenders you want. For signature-drink events, the head bartender can build the menu starting at least 2 weeks ahead.

  4. 04Sign and invoice

Service contract with PHE invoice + VAT. Flair package (when applicable) is contracted separately, with its own insurance.

FAQ — bartenders

How much does a bartender cost for a wedding?+

Standard wedding with simple open bar: 600–750 RON/8h, mid-level classic bartender. Advanced cocktail bar or signature drinks: 800–1,000 RON/8h. Flair show: separate €750–1,500 package.

How many bartenders for a 200-guest wedding?+

Standard open bar: 2 bartenders. Advanced cocktail bar: 3 bartenders + 1 barback. Above 250 guests, at least 3 bartenders.

What's the difference between a cocktail bartender and a mixologist?+

The terms are used interchangeably in Romania. „Cocktail bartender” is more commercial; „mixologist” is what the modern-mixology community calls itself. We filter by actual experience with non-standard cocktails (signature, twists on classics, molecular), not by job title.

Do you have flair bartenders?+

Yes — 3 of the 45 active bartenders are flair-certified (Flair Academy or equivalent training + certification). For flair shows, book at least 2 weeks ahead — their calendar fills up in wedding season.

Can I keep the same bartender across all my events for the year?+

Yes — for recurring clients (restaurants, hotels, corporate organizers with predictable schedules) we build a relationship with specific bartenders. For ad-hoc B2C clients (weddings, baptisms) we propose the best-fit bartenders for the moment.

Do you supply the alcohol and mixers?+

No — PHE is a HoReCa staffing agency, not a catering supplier. Alcohol, mixers, ice and fruit come from the event or the catering supplier. We can recommend Bucharest partners if you need them.

Can the head bartender also build the cocktail menu?+

Yes. Head bartenders can build a custom menu (themed signature drinks, food pairings, per-guest alcohol calculations). Menu planning service: +500–800 RON.

I'm a bartender — how do I join?+

Sign up from the „I'm a candidate” page. For cocktail / mixology bartenders we ask for a video demo (phone is fine — 2–3 cocktails prepared). Registration is free.
