What we build for your christening
A christening needs a more compact crew than a wedding, but the same attention to detail. Depending on guest count and service style (plated or buffet), PHE supplies a single role or the whole team.
Waiters →
Serve guests at table and keep the pacing. Plated service: 1 waiter per 12–15 guests. At a 100-guest christening: 7–8 waiters.
Runners (picoli) →
Waiter support — shuttle platters, clear, refill. For christenings above 100 guests: 1 runner per 3–4 waiters.
Bartenders →
Wine bar, champagne for the toast, drinks for the kids. Standard christening: 1 bartender; above 120 guests or an active bar: 2 bartenders.
Hostesses →
Guest reception, seating, coordination with parents and godparents. From ~50 guests: 1 hostess; above 120 guests: 2 hostesses.

All packages include 2h backup guarantee, contract and VAT invoice, standard black uniform. Switching to buffet instead of plated cuts crew cost ~50% (waiter ratio 1 per 25–30 guests). Rates vary by experience, venue and season — request a custom quote.
How it works for christenings

Send the date, venue, guest count and service style. We reply within 4h with a custom quote.
- 02We confirm the crew
We propose the full crew with names, experience, photos. For child-heavy christenings or special menus, we select candidates experienced with family events.
- 03You sign and stop worrying
Service contract + 30% advance at confirmation. Balance due 14 days post-event.
- 04Christening day — PHE on-site coordination
A PHE coordinator is on site 30 min before and throughout. They sync directly with the venue and with you.
FAQ — christenings
How many waiters do I need for a christening?+
For plated service the ratio is 1 waiter / 12–15 guests — so ~7 waiters at 100 guests, plus 1 bartender and 1 hostess. Use the christening calculator for the exact number for your guest count.
Is a christening cheaper than a wedding?+
Usually yes, because there are fewer guests and a shorter program (6–8h vs 10–12h for a wedding). The crew is smaller, so the total cost drops — a 100-guest christening starts from ~5,300 RON + VAT.
How far in advance should I book?+
For summer, aim for 3–4 weeks ahead. For off-season, 2 weeks is enough. We respond to under-7-day urgent requests too, but availability is tight at peak season.
What happens if someone doesn't show up?+
2h backup guarantee. We have pre-confirmed standby candidates for every event, so a no-show is covered without affecting service.
Do you work in cities other than Bucharest?+
Yes, nationwide. For venues >30 km from Bucharest we add transport; for overnight venues, lodging. We confirm at quoting.
