Responsibilities of an event hostess
Pre-event
- •Briefing on the event run-sheet, guest list and protocol
- •Set up the welcome area (place cards, floor plan, cloakroom, materials)
- •Check appearance and image elements (client dress code)
During the event
- •Welcome guests and offer the welcome drink
- •Guide guests to their seats / tables per the floor plan
- •Manage the list and, at corporate events, accreditation / check-in / badges
- •Run the cloakroom and info points
- •Support the hosts and the organising team through the evening
Post-event
- •Hand over the cloakroom and lost items
- •Short report to the organiser (attendance, incidents)

What does a hostess do at a wedding?+
Welcomes guests, offers the welcome drink, guides them to their seats per the floor plan, runs the cloakroom and supports the hosts and protocol through the evening. She's the face of the event at the entrance.
How many hostesses for a 200-guest wedding?+
Generally 1–2 hostesses for welcome and protocol. With multiple entrances, a separate ceremony or accreditation, the count grows.
What does an event hostess cost?+
A mid hostess: 400–500 RON / 8h. For corporate accreditation or promo/brand: 400–600 RON. Rates are indicative and pre-VAT — request a quote for the full crew.
Do hostesses bring their own attire?+
Usually yes, within the agreed dress code (e.g. office attire, elegant black dress). For uniforms or specific brand outfits, the client provides them; we confirm attire before the event.
